some info:
The gameplay is being re-imagined, but the storyline is being continued within Norse Mythology.
We play as Kratos for the whole game.
The game is set “many years after God of War 3
It’s a much more intimate and player-controlled experience.
The accessibility should be the same as previous game, but the gameplay is totally different.
It’s a big game, but it’s not an open world.
“More to come” on more characters that will be included in the game.
The game will be released “soon,” not this year.
Quicktime Events won’t be included in the same way they were in the previous games.

This looks ridiculously bad ass. And the new combat style will undoubtedly freshen things up. Sadly, this is the only thing that has impressed me at E3 so far. But man am I looking forward to it.
Seriously? Nothing else did it? Deus Ex, Dishonored 2, For Honor, Horizon Dawn, FF XV, Watch Dogs 2, South Park & Insomniac's Spider-Man all got me hyped. There was also Lawbreakers and Observer at the PC show.
Only wish they had had some more FF7 remake videos. That blew everyone away last year.

Kratos got a Stone Cold Steven Austin like pop from the crowd when he stepped out of the shadows.
Pretty sure I woke up some of my neighbours when he made that appearance.

That voice sounds like Kevin Michael Richardson and not T.C. Carson. I'm kinda not liking it at all. This looks incredibly like The Last of Us.
Same here. Hopefully, it's just Carson having a bad sore-throat, but yeah, they've changed voice actors for Kratos. 🙁
There's also a bit of Asura's Wrath in there. Fight doesn't end until he activates Spartan Rage, and he had to fill the gauge during the fight.
Maybe they didn't want to bring TC Carson back, because then the trailer would have immediately given away that it was Kratos before he stepped out the shadows.
Instead, they had a voice that sounded different enough to make you question it.
Anyway, I really, REALLY hope we aren't escorting the kid through most of the game, ala the Last of Us.
That automatically means the fights will have to be less epic and smaller in scale, because there is no way you are going to be able to fight something the size of a mountain like in the old games, while a fragile kid is in tow. That would not be believable at all.
That being said, I am optimistic that this won't be totally like the last of us. The concept art that got leaked a few months ago, showed Kratos wandering alone for all of them.
So glad they didn't do a reboot though.

Nope. Nothing else. Well, aside from Zelda, but that trailer came out after I has posted that.

Looks like you are out of luck. There is a button solely for context-sensitive actions by the kid.
And apparently the game is about passing knowledge onto the kid. Kratos might be getting replaced.
nope. since his father is immortal so i believe the kid would become allies of kratos. it's like thor and odin relationship
and actually the knowledge is for kratos
and also cory barlog said "This game is about Kratos teaching his son how to be a god, and the kid teaching Kratos how to be human again."

I saw that but I'm still cautiously optimistic because he also reassured us in the same statement that the game will still be epic in scale like we've come to expect.
They simply went with a more intimate, character driven introduction to the game to show something different than what we expected.
If the kid is worthy, then may he be worthy. Still better than a reboot.

I hope Kratos brutally murders his son in a rage, so that every time they reboot the franchise and have Kratos slaughter a pantheon it can become a kind of running gag. "Gosh darn it I did it again", stuff like that, real yucks to be had.
