Did Goten even become that much more powerful in the ROSAT? If we're treating Gotenks as a separate character, wouldn't most of the gain only show in the fusion?

I'm sure the boys' powers increased a bit, but yeah, the training was mostly intended to boost the power of Gotenks.

After the fusion time wore off. Buutenks switched to buuccolo abd gohan says piccolo is the strongest person he absorbed. Piccolo wins.

Of course Piccolo was > the kids in their base levels. He was > Goku/Vegeta in their base levels as well... SSJ is an entirely different story, however.

SSJ Goten = SSJ Gohan(pre-Kaioshin unlock) >> ASSJ Vegeta(Cell saga) >> Semi-Perfect Cell >> Imperfect Cell >> Kamiccolo(Cell saga)

Yes, it was stated that the adult Saiyans were > the boys. However, the adults could also transform into higher levels of SSJ. Of course they were superior overall, lol.

But yeah, according to the Daizenshuu: Goten = Gohan... Which means FPSSJ Trunks would have been slightly > FPSSJ Gohan... And imo their feats/accolades support this.

Piccolo's nowhere near fp SSJ. Not at the Buu saga, at least. Current might be a different story, judging by their training match, and Piccolo's performance against "Faux Freeza".

Yes he was. His fight against 17 proves this (who is above a full powered Super Saiyan). They were even, hell, Piccolo had a slight edge. The Androids treated Vegeta, a full powered Super Saiyan like fodder. Piccolo battle against Cell process this as well.
