Edit: I just checked episode 1 when they first fight the putties: Jason, Zack and Trini all have MA training. Kimberley can do basic kicks, and Billy is basically Jar Jar.

Though when they morph, naturally, they can all do MA.

Meh, even morphed, Jason had Tommy's number. Yeah, he had the edge in their first fight, but that wasn't a decisive win. Hell, Jason was unmorphed for their next fight, and had just gone a round with Goldar, and he still managed to land a solid blow. Their most definitive encounter was their last fight, where Jason straight up bested an amped Tommy. To further cement the fact, when Goldar was training his own imitation Rangers, he straight up declared that none were worthy to match the Red Ranger. He had no such issue with the Green. Hell, they even fought in Zeo, and again Jason comes off as superior. He defeated a monster that had it's own strength, plus Tommy's skill and strength on top, and then went on to stalemate a bloodlusted Tommy for hours, all while refusing to hurt him.

Tommy got a lot of wank, but Jason will always be the one true GOAT.

The only time Tommy was ahead is when he was evil green ranger with rita's evil sword of darkness.

Ever since Jason destroyed that, he was solidly on top.

Combat wise, Jason is the greatest ranger ever. He may not have the tenure of Tommy, but he was unparalleled as a fighter.

In the Forever Red episode where they had all the red rangers up till then show up Jason had the best performance of anyone, even though Tommy was there with his red zeo powers too.

Even after he lost he still had an edge. He beat Goldar unpowered straight up and his zord alone was more of than a match for the megazord.

Forever Red was an homage episode....it was meant to wank. History shows different

Unmorphed, I always felt like Jason was the superior fighter. I just also thought that the Green Ranger form was in general more powerful than the Red one, so Jason was always fighting at a handicap in that regard.

You can disagree all you like, but the fact remains that it's true. The videos you showed have no counter to the fact that Jason straight up bested Tommy. Hell, if you actually watch the Goldar fight, you can see that the best Tommy could do is knock him down. He won through BFR, nothing more. Hell, he needed a 5-kick combo to knock Goldar down, whereas Jason has done it with one.

Plus, as PR said, Tommy has always had the benefit of a stronger power coin, which makes Jason's superiority all the more apparent. Jason has outright said that he's stronger, and Tommy didn't disagree.

Yep. As you said Goldar's own word clearly put the red ranger at the top when he was making those evil clone rangers.

Skill wise they are equal, but jason is faster and stronger. Basically the superior athlete. Even morphed, where you'd think the differences may disappear or become neglible to the point of nothingness, jason was stated to be faster and stronger and tommy tacitly agreed.

The only advantage tommy has is being a better swordsman apparently.

Also in forever red jason took the field lead and was schooling the leader of the bad guys by himself.tommy was fighting the runner up with help.

Ya'll got me thinking maybe I should rewatch this shit lol. Some of the fighting may be painful to watch again...but then again I survived watching Iron fist...

Naw not seeing it. Lip service is great but Tommy performed far better against Goldar than Jason.

Tommy's Zord was also more powerful, iirc.
