I'm guessing there might be people who have these urges, never act on them, realize how wrong they are, and try to get help for them. So maybe those people aren't monsters.
But if you're like..just lusting after little kids but you never act on it because you don't fancy a stint in jail then yeah you're kind of terrible.

Even if they are, they are still in a minority among politicians. I believe society may devolve to the point of accepting pedophilia in the future, just not now. By that, I mean removing age of consent to allow 12 and 13 year olds to have sex. I can't imagine anyone with sane moral convictions ever being ok with having sex with infants, toddlers, and small children.

Being attracted to prepubescent children is a sexuality and it's a very unfortunate one. Acting out on it obviously makes one a monster. I'm sure most pedophiles realize just how wrong and messed up it is.
I'm sure they realize society see's it as wrong, but it doesn't mean they are crying themselves to sleep over what they think/do.
