Lowball, and one that has been addressed numerous times before. Clark got feats after that that absolutely wipes this out so I do not know why this gets pointed to, when everything else gets ignored by the detractors...

It's also kinda bullshit to say, "No proof earthly metals can hurt them" Magneto can hurl stuff weighing hundreds of tons with ease and he can hurl all of that at once. It's giving Zod way too much credit for the short time he was shown on screen.

Considering that A: Zod was smashing apart thousands of tonnes of debris while going through buildings, and B: surviving orbital drop while being rammed by a satelite... Both feats are dozens to hundreds of times more uber than that oil rig thing you tried to use.

Superman can shift tectonic plates. Magneto can do what exactly at that level?

According to the movie, rip the metal out of the planet itself causing global destruction with a death toll in the billions.

See above post. It takes too damn long for Mags to do anything appreciable with it.

Well you realize how big the planet actually is? That's why it'd take so long because he's warping the entire Earth all at once.

Then Why do you think Magneto's capacity to do this matters in a vs debate? He's obviously not going to be ripping the planet out from under Zod before Zod rips his head from his neck.

Well if given enough time he would've slowed every landmass on earth and destroyed every city. He was tearing all of the metal from the earth's core and at least in terms of destructive capabilities he's got Superman beaten for now:

Magneto may have the power to take out Zod, but for him to get something that massive into the air he'll need time. And when dealing with someone like Zod who has a degree of superspeed, Magneto won't have that chance.
