I love this casting...

Brie Larson is the frontrunner...

Looking forward to the upcoming MCU films where they branch out to other characters that aren't featured as heavily as the titular Avengers roster. Films like this and Dr. Strange are much more interesting for me to see than the umpteenth Avengers related flick or Iron man film, though this film is further on the horizon it should be great.

At this point, Marvel has a great record of picking their lead stars.

She night need to workout a bit to tone up and a hairdo for sure. But she fits that mold Marvel is looking fo.

1. Great actress
2. Still unknown to general audiences
3. Looking to a big pay day and chance to up their resume with a few blockbuster titles
4. More than likely met or exceed their expectations during casting

Nothing to do with looks though I'm admittedly biased against new Carol so that might have something to do with it.

I think i know the one you mean, She's currently on the Gotg team.

Larson is one of the hottest actresses in Hollywood now. A solid choice.

It's Miss Marvel who later became known as Captain Marvel I think.

Different person to the male Cap Marvel.

Wonder if we'll get Adam Warlock, as far I know there hasn't been any mention of him being in the infinity war movies
