Just saw this on Wikipedia:

A large green cocoon can be seen inside the Collector's museum in Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy. In an interview, director James Gunn confirmed that the cocoon does indeed contain Adam Warlock.

And also Adam Warlock's sister will be the villain for GOTG Vol 2.

They're trying to go younger than katee sackoff, who'll be over 40 by the time the first movie is done. I'm on board with what you're saying, but I'd bet Larson is more than capable of acting the character however it needs to be.

Oh i agree/see what you're saying. Larson will do fine if she takes the role. Msrvel has (yet) to disappoint me (fingers crossed on Dr. Strange).

But, like i said i'm just speaking as a fan, not someone responsible for making the right decisions. Saaaackhoooff! 😛

Yvonne Stahovski, Charlize Theron or Rachel Nichols would have been my pick

Could definitely see Yvonne as Carol though I think Kate Beckinsale would also work.

While not my first choice, I can understand why Marvel would want Brie. I just would have preferred to see an actress over 30 cast in the role.

Katee Sackhoff is a decent actress, but she won't do well in a scene with RDJ and Chris Evans. She would be out of her league. Marvel needs a great actress to hang with those heavyweights. Marvel never goes for the obvious(fancasting) choices. The only exception was Cumberbatch. People had similar reservations about The Human Torch playing Captain America. Now? Well, people couldn't imagine anyone else playing the character.

I'm more concerned how heavy Marvel is going to be on the pandering. Hopefully it won't be as transparent as their A-Force series.

However if they plan to base her origin on her latest book then the audience better brace themselves for lots...and lots of pandering.

With her original origin she was more of a Lois Lane type character where she meets the alien Captain Marvel.
