Infinity war was only so good because it had a volley of films leading to its introduction. Many of which are quality. Infinity war was essentially just an action scene for the conclusion. That’s all it ever needed to be but it did well. The stakes had already been set and we knew what to expect.
Logan was a perfect three act film and had fascinating development. Infinity war wasn’t meant to be a traditional movie. It doesn’t have 3 acts. It starts in the middle of an ongoing story and ends without conclusion in the middle of an going story. Im not trying to compare the movies but I think there are better examples in the MCU.
What you say about Infinity War is true, at least partially, it is an abstract type of film that negates much of the traditional three act structure, acting as both a conclusion and a set up for the rest of the conclusion. However, I would also say that it functions as a character study centered largely on Thanos.

Have to agree with Logan, from a story-quality angle, it's really one of the very best films the superhero genre has. Watchmen and even Cap:TWS to an extent are also. They relied far less on flash and actions scenes to move the story along.

Always been a die hard Thanos fan since first sight and I doubt anyone on the movie forum even cares about Thanos who the film centers around. Most from my experience on this site are your typical Batman, Superman, and X Men fans.

Not saying they did not enjoy this because it is fantastic but they do not have the personal built in nostalgia for Thanos. I am huge for rewatchability and Logan to me is not even close to great. It bored me the action was lackluster and Logan was a depressing loser in the film. I only watched it once. To compare Logan to Infinity War is blasphemy to me. No comparison.

Ehhh, I like the Cosmic vibe, but I just can't stand the girl power shit anymore. I'll probably pass, tbh.
