Probably because the 2nd act of R1 is a snooze-fest that lead to people being disengaged by the time the awesome 3rd act roles around.

Rewatching R1 on Netflix on occasion, my impressions on it remain the same, but the better parts at least still hold up well.

The only part of the 3rd act that even comes Close to being called "Awesome" is the Vader Part. The big space battle had a way better flow then the first 2 parts but it didn't really do anything new. Sad part about that is that is used to be that Space Battles were what only STAR WARS could do. Now...Its old hat and been done.

I never found any parts of Rogue One boring, But hey each to their own.

I think one real Issue I had with the movie was that the ending was already out there. Hard for me to get invested when I already know how it is going to end.

The characters from the new trilogy shit all over R1's characters.

Seeing bootleg low quality .avi films on a 15 year old laptop with no speakers can suck indeed.

If I had only did that with R1. Would have saved 20 bucks on tickets and snacks....and been less disapointed in a crappy movie.
