Not sure "too late" fits, imo better a direction change now than continuing down Synder Lane. I for one would like to have at least one really good DC film in the franchise before they reboot.
My concern is that Whedon might phone it in, as Synder set the bar so low (unless JL surprises us all and I doubt it) he really doesn't have to try in order to deliver something marginally better.

Well with that, Its only based on the Episode 1 & 2 for that show who's to say it doesn't improve with the later eps
