On a related note of people getting it wrong, a documentary(SUPERHERO SCIENCE I think the name was) that was looking at real technology similar to comic book powers had compared Cyclops's blasts to an anti artillery system that used LASERS to heat up rounds so they blew up half way to their target.

Yeah, I mean she's definitely withstood attacks that are > Cyke's optic blasts, imo. She can also absorb ambient heat energy from the atmosphere, and even bodily heat energy... Which obviously isn't good for a 'normal' human, like Cyke.

You'll get no argument from me, at least apart from the idea that the blast is still hitting her even if she tries to siphon off the friction from it, an I don't think the effectiveness will be negated much.
Then again, like you said she has taken some pretty hard shots before.
