It means that the quote would have some effect but Revan would pretty much recover immediately and go on to stomp Meetra. But we know where Avellone has Revan & the Ancients, don't we?

Obi-Wan's nowhere near Revan's actual level, let alone where Avellone has him. It's not unreasonable to suggest that Surik's Force deafening wouldn't have some effect on Obi-Wan.
