i'd agree with that. and bones is as strong as cap--or very close any way according to daredevil. dd confirmed that bones is at least low level superhuman when he admitted he couldn't read bones like he can't read cap.
not sure how anyone can say this isn't anything but very close. even you abhi. bones is an evil cap--nearly as strong, nearly as skilled. he has strength feats close to bane--killing vamps and werewolves with his hands, he's beaten cap, beaten matt. bane has beaten bats but also had his a$$ kicked by him a couple times. bones has beaten cap and been beaten. skill can beat bane. bones isn't as skilled as cap but he's not far off which means he is certainly around bane's level if not better. he's shrugged off bullets and knives like bane AND he has a knife in this fight.
w/o venom and with the knife i'd take bones for sure since they are about equal in every way. take the knife away and it's pretty much a toss-up imo. w/venom, depends if bones can sever the venom flow. bane would win if he can't. look through feats of both and they are extremely close. saying otherwise makes no real sense.

Cap just overpowers Bones. Not through skills.
Bones has beaten Steve once in Thunderbolts. Pretty much every other time, he got his ass kicked.
Batman doesn't overpowers Bane. It's always his skills that comes into play.
It's not even close BTW.
Heck, Cap beat him WITHOUT SSS.

It's probably because while a lot of people are as strong as Cap, like Red Skull or Crossbones, no one has Cap's feats. Which is why I generally don't pay much attention to the line of argument that goes along the lines of:
"CB is as strong as Cap. Cap can lift this, can Bane?"
I think it's better to understand Crossbones in comparison to Cap and Bane in comparison to Batman. And in such a comparison Bane usually looks much, much stronger than Batman. Batman certainly wins a lot, but Bane almost always has the upper hand, looks physically superior, etc.
Also, Crossbones has only really beaten Cap when Cap was amnesiac/weak-willed or something. CB looked really good in Ellis' run, but even then he didn't really come off as Cap's equal, and certainly not his superior. Crossbones' best has him as Cap's equal, but Bane's best is downright superhuman.
