So the fact that Brexit caused a fivefold increase in hate crimes means nothing to you? You think if Trump gets in all hate crime will stop?
Here is some Trump supporters brutalizing and urinating on a homeless man because he of his ethnicity. They preyed on a powerless man not for what the man did, but for what he looked like:

What, are they not true Trump believers? Will Trump hold them accountable if they start trying to beat up and humiliate my loved ones? My dad is Muslim, and my name is Arabic. So what happens if he wins and the people like these decide to come out in droves? Who will protect us, considering Trump has advocated violence in his speeches?
Like I said, Trump supporters preyed on the powerless simply because of their skin color. What will stop them from attacking me?
Despite that jump in mass shooting in those stats, violent crime in the US is at a 40 year low per capita or something though?

Which in itself is interesting when you compare to the mass shooting stuff.
Just seemed worth pointing out.

Mass shootings are up because of them being "popularised" with psycho's through the increased media attention and visibility.I can't see how Obama could possibly have influenced it, lol.
On the other hand, when you think about it the US has been ruled by the PC attitude for years (decades?) now, whereas during Reagan's 80's it was supposed to be the era of big, bad, violent movies and TV shows.
For instance, Hill Street Blues or any Rambo-like flick were far more violent than anything you have normally on the screen nowadays.
Also, it does not help that Obama is using PC ideology at the same time when he's playing the race card and buying into many Leftists fantasies. Just saying.
The whole 80s movies thing is a whole other kettle of fish though, imo at least.
Like, there is and continues to be really violent stuff on screen, it's just in the 80s the big popular releases were these R-Rated action films. But Hollywood is about making money and at some point stuff shifted to a PG-13 focus to attract the biggest audiences.
I'd argue some of the most violent stuff nowadays is more violent than stuff made in the 80's, especially on TV. It's just now the focus and money has shifted.
Sorry slightly off topic just the movie industry and how it's changed is pretty fascinating to talk about.

On topic, I think the general idea is that this dramatic increase is happening on Obama's "watch" and he might want to do something about it?

My problem with the DNC comes from how exploitative it is. For instance, the black shooting problem. Apparently Hillary has invited the families of shooting victims of police to the Convention, but has not invited the family members of any slain officers, or families of those killed by gang violence. Rather than addressing the whole issue, she's exploiting police shootings to get the black vote. As a black person, I find it insulting.

That's because Hilary's entire campaign is "let me say the opposite of Trump" and meaningless pandering.
