It's important to have big numbers in China because money made always helps but studios only get about 25% of the profit from their China grosses.

Studios get way more with money made in America.

It's one of the reasons WW made more profit than Thor:Ragnarok.

Yes, it is important to make money everywhere but his point was blatantly false due to the low recoup rate. America also makes more money currently overall than in China when movies are concerned. That may change but currently it is not close. Look at Warcraft and the films that did well here that blew their box office take out of the water.

Looks like James Wan has another winner. The reactions (from RT critics) are in and nearly all of them are positive.

James will direct a sequel.
