Not bad? That's huge. Some people think Aquaman will get 500 million alone for the China and US markets. 1 billion world wide.

Update: Aquaman earns 8.4/10 on Douban & 9.6/10 on Maoyan. 9.6/10 is the best audience score for HLW titles ever. Only Coco & Furious 7 did that high before.

WB was smart to release this first in China.

Why? China (and Asia overall) is notorious for bringing in high numbers for movies that perform poor domestically.

Not saying this means Aquanman will suck because of it, but it's also not a solid indicator that it's a good movie.

That would be quite a story if Aquaman was the DCEU's first billion dollar movie.

It would be a miracle considering it's a single relatively not very popular character with the general audience and it's riding the shitty coattails of JL.

This is exactly why I will not see this movie, its rather pathetic.

I think it's definitely possible. The movie will probably do extremely well in China, and if it's good, it should make enough in America and other territories to push it over a billion.

The other dceu was never going to hit a billion other than BVS or JL. However, Aquaman is using new technology and the special effects are supposedly out of this world.
