It's got better CGI, but there's no weight to it for me, and that hurts it. It's literally what I imagine people mean when they say "it looks like a video game", and I hate that term.

Well, they showed once again that a more light-hearted movie could be successful. so maybe DC will get their head out of their a$$ and realize that everything doesn't have to be dark & gritty.

I think the problem was Snyder. Snyder was trying to follow Nolans Batman movies with the same tone (sort of). Nolan wasn't a fan that his movies were called "Comic Book Movies".
Snyder was trying to make the source material into some art house , deep and dark mature movie. On top of that adding basic fresh out of film school religious symbolism thinking that will make his films deep.
You cant make certain movies like that especially when they deal with a fantasy comic book world. And making every character like batman, dark brooking, etc.
Also bad editing, plot holes, and story lines were a mess.
I dont think Snyder was trying to be Nolan. His stuff was always darker. But the success of Nolan only encouraged that line of thought (Not that the tone was even the real issue).
Honestly I dont feel Snyder is a bad filmmaker. Hes made some decent films. But spearheading the DCEU was just above his pay grade. And honestly its WB fault for picking him to do that.
I mean handing him their 2 biggest movies (was even supposed to be 3 with BvS, JL and JL2!)... Why?
