What would be your Lightsaber, Form and Affiliation?

Technically, if you master Niman and lightsaber combat in general, you have amazing fighting prowess and no real deficiencies - you technically are strong in all areas of lightsaber combat.
Nah, Niman just gives you a basic knowledge of everything, but does not allow you to specialise in anything. I think I read somewhere the popularity of Niman with Jedi was one of the main reasons so many were killed in the petranaki arena

So? Sources have directly stated that it's incredibly difficult to actually master Niman, but you have amazing fighting prowess once you do so.

Sith, black single bladed lightsaber, Vaapad as my primary with Djem So and Soresu thrown into the mix.

😂

So very revealing.

All the special snowflakes in this thread think they have a choice.

Jedi, single green blade, Soresu with Makashi for precise counters.

Oh wow, I posted my answer based on personal preference on a thread asking for such an answer. Ooooooh! I've really dug myself into a hole on this one!

How do you turn everything into a way to be condescending Temp?

Quote? (I believe you - I just want a quote for my Revan RT)

Gray Jedi: Mix of Makashi and Djem So with a standard hilt if possible
Sith: Makashi and Juyo mix with a primary blade being Dooku's and secondary being a darksaber for Jar Kai

Single purple lightsaber, a makashi-djem so hybrid

Oh, God, Carth, you're more Bane-like then Neph ;<

I would pick blue or red saber, curved hilt and Makashi

Technically speaking, I'm probably the most Bane-like as a Sith with forms III, V, VII, though that's not why I picked the forms. It's mere coincidence that the three forms Bane uses are the ones I'd find most favorable, though I'd hold a preference for Form VII of the three of them rather than Form V

Oh, my mistake. Bane wasn't Makashi user, right? Just used a cruved hilt?

Yarp, Carthage would be more like Vader since Vader also used Makashi.

Ahh, allright, my mistake. Still, similarity between Carth and Neph strikes me

I've never seen so much bullshit concentrated into such a tight space in all my years.

Form VII has always fascinated me the most, especially Vaapad, yet I'd find a brute Force offensive effective as well and want to back both up with the most defensive form.

If the entire purpose of my form selection was to suck Bane's dick as everyone seems to think it is I'd go with Djem So as the primary, not Vaapad.

Oh neat, I really value your opinion.

Dark Saber. Master Soresu and Juyo.

For difficulty mastering Niman, or the amazing fighting prowess upon mastery?

Both.

Both.

For the former, I think in The Jedi Path Obi-Wan or someone else mentions that it's difficult to master the art of combining Force attacks with lightsaber fighting - that may have been TPM or AotC Kenobi though.

There's also Cin Drallig suggesting that you need to spend at least ten years on Niman to master it, and that's if you focus solely on Niman:

"How long can you expect to study Form VI before you master it? If you dedicate yourself only to Form VI, you will study for at least ten years."

For the latter:

A Jedi who has mastered Form VI wields amazing lightsaber skill, but does not focus on power or aggression.
