Canonically, Hit killed Goku instantly. Goku was just smart enough to realize what would happen and pre-emptively brought himself back to life.
Black has no combat genius like Goku though, nor does he even know who Hit is or what his powers are(his powers are far from common knowledge as only Vados and Hit fully explained them). He gets punched in the heart and dies before he even gets to talk shit.

Yep. It was a smart move on Goku part. He was helpless in his battle against Hit.

Vegeta already fought three battles and used a lot of energy. Manga made it even more explicit by telling the reader this.
before his fight vs HIT? even if so, you could clearly see Hit is out of his league. way too fast for vegita blue and too powerful. in their fight it was clear they are on different levels. it took goku blue kio ken 20X to match Hit for real.

Frost, the lava guy, and the universe 6 Saiyan were all just before Hit.
Kaioken never happened in manga, Goku only used SSJ Red followed by Blue, and it was claimed overuse of blue reduced Vegeta to about 15% of his full power, and implied he could have won as easily if fresh.

Well, he was kicking SSB Vegeta's ass without going Rose, but it's not like the difference is huge there; the more crucial difference is that Hit is much weaker in the manga. SSB Goku shit on him handily, although like the anime he wasn't using his killer techniques.
