Pretty sure there's more to it, but as I said, there's nothing directly indicating anything her. But I do read into this the implication that Vader was stronger or at least equal to Starkiller, and he's grown much since ANH. Luke's performance was just flat-out better.

Except the clone doesn't. He holds Galen's potential and memories but isn't nessecarily as powerful. Regardless Vader had several advantages in the fight against Starkiller; psychological manipulation, the fact that he chose the location of the fight and the fact that he controlled the pace of the fight with a dying Juno nearby which forced Starkiller to try to find a way to end the fight quickly.
