She wasn't harmed though, so what is there to be concerned about?

I imagine being held up at gun point, tied up and locked in a bathroom would be a pretty traumatic experience for someone, even if they're famous and you don't like them.

I don't particularly give a shit about Kim K being robbed - hundreds of thousands if not millions of people are victims of crime every day and I don't particularly give a shit about them either- but I do agree that the spitefulness toward her about it is kind of odd.

In general I don't really get the hate toward Kim K and celebrities like her. What has she done wrong besides have lots of money?

I would probably say that is more a case of Annoyance then hate.

Doesn't surprise me. Probably a government conspiracy trying to prove that Kim is actually a Reptoid.

Finally.

I doubt that Lil Kimmy is a "reptoid" but I do believe that she has a purse and shoes made out of reptoid.

Being tied up and locked in a bathroom probably isn't the worst thing that has been done to Kim. After all..chick married Kanye.

A glib point. She might not have been physically harmed, and her net worth certainly only took a small, temporary hit, but being tied up and burgled isn't something you sit there thinking "It's a living" about. "Are they going to kill me, rape me, beat me?" There's a terror and a panic during the event that doesn't just magically subside after they leave. It can take an emotional toll that lingers and affects your life.

"She's rich and I don't like her" isn't a good enough reason to excuse a person's traumatic event. It's kind of a scummy thing to do to dismiss someone else's ordeal just because you can't see the bruises.

I can't wait for this to be turned into a Lifetime Movie of the Week.

That and for Lil Kiimmy to hit the TV Talk Show Circuit to share the experience with us all...

Pretty much this. She's made her millions by basically doing nothing, we should blame the people that made her rich for doing nothing, not her.

When we as a society reward moronic and poor behavior, we shouldn't complain when people use some angle to become wealthy off of it.

As has been said, people get robbed every day. This chick got famous via banging Brandi's less talented brother. It's sad people consider this news.

Okay so she has mental issues over this. Unlike most people who go through traumatic events..she has millions upon millions of dollars at her disposal. She can literally do anything she wants(within legal limits of course).

I'm certainly not glad this happened.

Good. Doesn't matter how famous, rich, or unlikable someone may be; when they're begging for their life, they're still the same human as the rest of us. It's a sad double standard when people we don't like get mocked, derided, or dismissed for the same things we give outrage and pity toward if the victim was someone we consider more relatable.

It might be a double standard, but the thing is..the world isn't fair. I have evidence of this, exhibit A: the fact Kim Kardashian is rich and has a tv show and people give two shits about her. That right there shows there is no God out there.

I mean question, do you think Kim has ever behaved in a way where she thinks she is better than other people due to her social status and wealth? Ever think she's gotten tons of free shit despite having more than enough money to pay? I'm talking about getting a free hotel room or not having to pay for meals or any of this other shit celebs get Ever think that maybe it's even possible one time she got pulled over by a cop, and didn't get a ticket due to her fame? Shit like this happens all the time and that is why people hate on them. They want to play the "I'm only human like the rest of you" shit when stuff goes wrong, but for the rest of the time? They think they are better than us, they think they are above us.

So that is why sometimes people react in the way they do.

Honestly, I don't care about her. Everything you said there is true, but it's not the point. We can acknowledge someone's established problems (and the problems that surround them), while still not giving into to that little voice from our spiteful reptilian brain that says "Good, f*ck them, I'm glad they're hurt". I hate that voice and I sigh with frustration when I see people giving it airtime. Doubly so when there's a double standard.

I would feel no emotions toward this woman's untimely murder. None-- including smugness or schadenfreude. I pick indifference over dismissive cruelty, or savage pleasure. It devalues our humanity.

meh.....seems like a publicity stunt. plus the jewelry is probably insured for more than its worth. I find it odd that someone who's consistently around the media. who has a shit ton of assistants and bodyguards, nannies, make-up artists, hairdressers, etc...could get robbed with no one seeing anything. comical

Yeah I could do that and then I think about..all the shit I just mentioned and still kinda feel a "f*ck these d-bags" type of feeling. But not in a "I want them harmed" kind of way, but more of a "you are everything wrong with the world" type of way.

Well... they're a small part of a small factor of what's wrong with the world. We have a tendency to over-inflate/over-state the things we consider counter to ourselves and our values---the old-as-brains "Us v. Them"---and when we do we over-inflate our reactions to them too. Or to things that happen to them--we see at us justification for all we say and do (or we spin it, whichever works). That's the good old Limbic system hard at work, making the world easy for us to divide into camps of "Me like, it must be good and right" and "Me no like, must be bad and wrong---DESTROY!"

Broke into her hotel, duck taped her, and locked her in the bathroom. How ironic if it turns out to be migrants or refugees.

It's actually duct tape.

Or are you implying migrant &/or refugee water fowl did this?

It appears that looks can only get you so far in life.

This is a remarkably stupid statement, even by your standards.
