Ok, why wouldn't TP work on Doom?

Not talking about mental control, or casting illusions or whatever...but a straight up, sledgehammer to the skull, mental bolt.

He has mental defenses that kept out emma frost. If anything it would atleast hinder MM on that front. Maybe it was even a magical defense for the mind which changes the rules altogether. They werent very specific on its nature.

Yeah, but I'm not talking about attempting to read his mind, or control him or whatever...just a straight up mental fist all up in his grill. No need to slow J'onn down, he's literally just mentally screaming at Doom.

Just that all the defences I've seen for Doom are like the spell he did to see through Red Onslaught etc. Not a shield, per se.

Its amazing no one's calling speed blitz, unbelievable strength and durability advantage...things that usually get called for...other characters. 😛

He accomplished it.

He tore into Doom's ass and then Doom attacked while Sentry was surprised at their time-travel.

So basically MM has one attempt to get it done before Doom sets his head on fire with magical flames. Doom was also not protecting himself when Sentry attacked him.

Manhunter would have to take a better approach than that which he is capable

I doubt mind attacks will do much against MM.

And MM won't stand still confused and dazed like the Sentry did.

That's why I bring up the nature of it. If its a spell then the question becomes becomes can MM's mental powers overpower magic.

Doom takes it. MM is extremely overrated and is favorite of anti-Superman fans.

In that case, we have another avenue for MM....just a mind whammy.

Because I don't see any proof that he has shields to defend against a bolt, which is different from attempts to worm your way in (hope you see the difference).

Also, speedblitz etc.

Why wouldn't a mental defense defend against a mental attack? I can't think of an instance where somebody bypassed mental defenses that way.
