I just want the insults to make sense. I made a joke about his trying to make bets with people, and suddenly there is some nonsense about how economists use betting markets to predict outcomes. Which..I don't even know how to respond to because what can be said to that besides "okay, and I never said anything to suggest otherwise".

I don't think this is that difficult to get; the idea is that T.I. has spammed these forums with his belief that Trump is secretly winning the election. Telling him to go bet on it is a way to test his conviction, to potentially redistribute his wealth, and just to mock him.
