One of the most fascinating things to come about from this election is, assuming that Trump does go on to lose, seeing what will happen with establishment GoP politicians and see how badly they are punished for not helping their nominee.

Some people, like Kasich and Romney, will probably get a pass since they've been consistently against Trump the whole time, but the ones who endorsed him and then tried to distance themselves from him might pay a pretty hefty price from his supporters assuming those supporters stay in the GoP.

The article also brings up another good question: if Trump loses, why are we assuming he will just go away?

Romney isn't really a player, he ran twice and lost, as far as everyone is concerned, he is just a sore loser, who was overjoyed about Trumps endorsement in 2012. He is just a another "republican" turn coat.

Well, that's the precedent of other losing nominees. They don't generally stay relevant for long. Like, look at Romney, his opinions barely get mentioned. McCain is basically just another senator. Bob Dole disappeared immediately. That's just usually how it goes. Trump probably will be different, though.

He is starting his own TV network if he loses. Which will prolly end up being more effective then Hillarys "4" years in office. We can then grow the base we have now, destroy fox, and hopefully CNN as well.

This is all true, and yet we would be unwise to treat Trump as the typical candidate. I think if he has become hooked on politics we haven't seen the last of him.

Of course it's entirely possible he just might willingly choose to go pursue other things.

I really doubt his network would effect CNN much, different audience. Fox News, though, it'd be hilarious if he somehow wiped them out. I imagine he'll be poaching Hannity from them since Hannity seems to be having issues with his coworkers these days.

TV network dude..its already a done deal.

Unfortunately I don't think he could destroy CNN, but he could provide a much needed balance if he does it correctly.

Thats why I said hopefully. Fox news needs to go tho. Hannity, Greta, Orielly, Bowling, KG and a few others will go to his new network. As well as Breitbart, Drudge and a few others.

Att is about to buy CNN through buying Time Warner, so prolly not.

I doubt O'Reilly would go to his network. He's the face of Fox, if Trump somehow got him that'd be insane.

Who is KG?

I actually do like Megyn Kelly though. Not always, but at times she can be pretty good.

She's great. I've been really impressed with her coverage this year. Sounds like she's done at Fox after this year though. And since she's gone extremely hard at Trump sometimes I doubt he'd want her on his network, and I doubt she'd want to go there. Guessing she goes to CNN next year.

O'Reilly already announced his retirement..

The GOP is doomed.

Gee you think, do you want to be your life savings on it?
