I don't think it's great, but I think it's good enough that if the performance and the script are good, I'll be happy with it.

Still would have preferred someone younger looking like Jon Hamm though.

People don't like the look? Damn, some people are tough to please. Besides being nearly a foot shorter than the comics, he looks nearly like he was ripped right out of a comic.

In my opinion the costume looks as good as a live adaptation will be able to offer, not ideal but still good enough.

It's pure mass that he's missing, not definition. Cable, a lot of the time, is drawn to look like a WWE wrestler. I think to expect that level of muscle from Brolin though, would just be realistic. Or for most actors that could be playing Cable.
