No idea. Long term demographics clearly favor the democrats as the baby boomers grow older and minority groups more prevalent, and it's possible that this loss will galvanize them even further, particularly if Trump is really awful.

So long as Trump doesn't do anything that literally threatens the republic, he's just a road block. Maybe a swan song for the republican party.
