How good will a Trump Presidency actually be?

Started by Surtur20 pages

I find it strange you feel democrats won't be eating shit sandwiches for the entire Trump presidency. For them, just the sheer fact he's president is enough of a shit sandwich.

ah, so the problem is that you really don't understand the 'shit sandwich' metaphor.

already said that, clever guy. 2 pages ago, in fact.

I missed that one, but it's interesting to know that you enjoy the taste.

a shit sandwich is something that is terrible to endure, but is disguised as something meant to be enjoyed. the eater of a hillary shit sandwich focused their mind on the delicious bread: how hillary wasn't trump, she was not a hardline conservative, how she would not try to roll back human rights advancements, etc. all the time trying to ignore the shit and pretend that the sandwich is not as bad as all these 'whiners' are making it out to be. chew, swallow, smile, then compliment the delicious artisan bread. "mmm, is that forcacca?"

and now it's your turn. most of trumps promises are being rolled back or forgotten, and this is just week #1 after the election. but you go ahead and ignore that shit and enjoy the sweet bread of "not hillary", "lulz liberal tears", etc.

the difference is that when most conservatives have had enough of their sandwich, they'll claim that they never ate it. just like all those people who suddenly never voted for bush.

You say they had to chew on shit for months thanks to scandals.

You say Trump supporters will be chewing for his entire term.

But you'll be munching on turd sandwiches too. It might not be a specific scandal, for the democrats it doesn't have to be something specific. You guys will be eating shit this entire presidency.

So for whatever reasons you want to say Republicans will be eating shit, all that matters is that we won't be alone 🙂

You keep forgetting, I'm not a Trump supporter.

coincidentally, that's exactly what everyone who voted for trump will be saying within 4 years.
another republican president who apparently won the election with zero votes.

You just seem to continually think people here love Trump or support Trump or will try to deny they ever voted for him or any of that. You still just don't seem to get it.

You can try to mock people laughing at the tears, but it's legitimately funny. You can say we should be upset that Trump lied, but for now anything Trump says(good or bad) is just words. I'm waiting for his actions. Until then, until he gets into office..what else is there to do but laugh?

if i left this forum you'd probably slip into clinical depression.

I suppose it is great to know that I'll never slip into a clinical depression then.

I would explain there is a difference between voting for someone and supporting them..but what would be the point?

How many times during this election did we see people say "I dislike them both, but I'm voting for Clinton" ? So the notion of people voting for someone they don't truly support shouldn't be some kind of foreign idea.

to vote for someone is to support them. i suppose such basic concepts can be confusing when you've spent so much time practicing mental gymnastics and being another logic/reason contortionist.

Good for them, it happens to be the truth in my case. I was a Sanders supporter.

You say I've spent so much time with it, but it's the Hilary voters that perfected these mental gymnastics lol.

The majority of the time the "I'm voting for the lesser of two evils" was thrown around, it was in reference to Hilary.

Just like a majority of the time it was Hilary voters saying "Well I dislike them both, BUT".

So..good luck with that.

harambe, then?

To be fair even Harambe would be better than Hilary.

Maybe.

more contortionism. to vote for someone is to offer them your support. whether or not you wish you had a better option, or have a change of heart afterward, does not alter the simple fact that you supported them. it's a concept that can be easily understood by an average 1st grader, but here we are....
