Galactus runs the gaunlet

99% of the scans in the Tyrant respect thread are down and I'm too lazy to dig up the comics for them.

In their very first encounter since Tyrant's initial defeat and exile on panel, both sides agreed to leave each other alone. The funny thing is, Tyrant had what Galactus wanted : Morg. Yet Galactus walked away empty handed and Surfer even called him out on it.

That tells you all you need to know about Tyrant's power level. Also keep in mind Galactus FED before this and then went to seek out Morg AND he caught Tyrant off guard, yet STILL he backed down.

Thread says "DP Tyrant"

So nothing but speculation, eh? Good to know.

That's kind of what you're doing, and since there are plot holes larger than many prisoners buttholes, speculation may be exactly what is needed, so I don't fault you on this shortcoming.

Let us speculate then.
1. If Tyrant was more powerful when Galactus originally defeated him, it may have been due to 1 or 2 things.

A) Galactus may have consumed far more than he did when he fought Tyrant in their final conflict.

B) Tyrant was more powerful in their final conflict than Galactus prepared himself for, thus making Tyrant more powerful than he was when Galactus defeated him the first time. After all; Galactus knew roughly how powerful Tyrant was before he defeated him for the first time, but he couldn't have known how powerful he had become after not seeing him for thousands of years.

C) It was because Tyrant used Galactus' own tech against him. Oh boy! Galactus must be extremely doltish even though he's one of the most intelligent beings in the known universe. I mean after all Tyrant was an extremely powerful technopath.

2. More evidence points to Tyrant being more powerful in their final conflict than he was in their first.

This is what we know.

A) Tyrant had thousands of years to regain his former glory (canon).

B) Their first battle happened off panel (canon).

C) Tyrant was always more powerful than an average Galactus (certainly true, or Galactus wouldn't have feasted before the final battle).

Did you bother to read the OP?

Galactus is at average power levels, which means that he is about as powerful as he is when searching for another planet to feed on. This means that Galactus would be weaker than he was when he faced Tyrant in their final battle (I'm right, it's okay to admit it).

So far, your one liners have done absolutely nothing to help your case. Galactus stops at 3 because Tyrant murders him.

That's the point of those scans. There is NO DP Tyrant. DP Tyrant was the Tyrant we NEVER saw on panel. That was the Tyrant in exile after his defeat by Galactus.

The first time we ever see Tyrant on panel he says he's absorbed vast amounts of energy and he's at the height of his power. He then says he's more than able to field a challenge from a FED Galactus. Apparently he wasn't just talking sh|t because Galactus actually backed down.

Not sure if we are the only ones that read that. Do you think we got the special edition copies?

It's blind hatred for the character. Since he's a 90s "legacy" creation, he gets sh|t on. I don't care if they like/hate the character but they should at least ACKNOWLEDGE what's written and drawn on panel.

What I mean is, DP Tyrant was the result of Galactus beating him at Tyrant's full power and then reducing him to the smaller version seen since:

So the inverse is true: EVERYTHING on panel of Tyrant is DP Tyrant, due to Galactus' beating

After Galactus beat full-power Tyrant w/toga

No, reread the scans of Tyrant AFTER he emerged from exile. He straight up says he's absorbed vast amounts of energy and he's at the height of his power.

In his very first encounter after his exile, he says that he's more than able to field a challenge from Galactus. This is backed up by the fact that a FED Galactus, who took Tyrant by surprise, BACKED OFF. If he was really "DP", Galactus would have crushed him.
