I know. I look forward to the Charlies Angel sequel and the next female Ghostbusters movies that are coming out.
You say that as if Charlies Angels were supposed to be Male or something.
As for Ghostbusters Changing Male characters into female ones is obviously a big risk.
But aside from that I dont see WW1984 or Captain Marvel 2 flopping.

Lol Charlies Angels shouldn't be male, I added that in because the movie made it so Charlie was female. Cuz reasons. The movie tried too hard.
And the first WW movie wasn't really woke. And Captain Marvel was kinda woke and cringey at some parts, but decent and also had the entire Marvel franchise behind her and backing her as the future.
So it doesn't always happen it is true, but you definitely can crash and burn by being too woke.

Oh Charlie. Wasnt Patrick Stewart Charlie as well though?
Whatever, that film just sounds stupid.
Female lead films in general tend to struggle. Thats why it took WB many many years to grow the balls to make a Wonder Woman film.
And even when they did, they were convinced it was going to flop, hence why they were going to release the review embargo last minute, but were convinced by some of the critics/movie pundits that was a mistake.
But honestly the general audience doesnt care about being Woke one way or the other. So it wont flop due to that.

That reminds me, I meant to ask how the feminism is in this. How bad is it?Is it overpowering so as to prevent enjoyment?
If it's just a simple female revenge story I'm okay with that, but feminism to the point of obnoxiousness will turn me off.
I mean...I will just quote Ewan McGregor, who is in the movie:
"What interested me with Birds of Prey is that it's a feminist film. It is very finely written. There is in the script a real look on misogyny, and I think we need that. We need to be more aware of how we behave with the opposite sex. We need to be taught to change. Misogynists in movies are often extreme: they rape, they beat women ... and it is legitimate to represent people like that, because they exist and they are obviously the worst. But in the Birds of Prey dialogues, there is always a hint of everyday misogyny, of those things you say as a man you do not even realize, mansplaining ... and it's in the script in a very subtle way. I found that brilliant."
To be fair there are some nice action scenes though and Margot Robbie is hot. So it depends on your level of tolerance and if you feel it worth it.

I thought you were a big fan of Clark, Broly.
That means you really don't want to see his films getting botched up every three years, my dude.
Joker was a fluke, less comic-y and happening in its own universe.
They don't even have a replacement for Cavill. Rumours say they actually considered Jordan, lol.
