Yeah he appeared as a spirit, but he totally died.

Well if he appeared as a spirit, then he escaped the bomb, no? That's what I meant by "surviving".

I thought Bane was experiencing visions of Qordis and Kaan created by his own subconscious, not that they were actually spirits. That's why he had to revisit the thought bomb in RoT to ensure that they were actually still trapped there. That's also why I thought they disappeared after he retrieved Nadd's holocron on Dxun.

Especially considering Bane ultimately got rid of them by blasting them with Force energy... because yeah, firing blasts of force energy at thin air is how you heal a damaged mind.

Firing bolts of Force energy doesn't affect Force spirits either.

Seemed to work for Kun against Nadd's spirit.

Bane doesn't know Sorcery-generated Force Blast. Conventional powers like Lightning fail against spirits, as seen in TOR.
