His genetics didn't change because he was depowered. And if Kryptonians have ANY difference in chromosome count from humans, a child between the two would be a miracle. It doesn't mean they're not at all similar to humans. You can't really say that they're "not at all similar" when they have the same anatomy and Kryptonians are basically humans when they live under a red sun.

Comic book science has weird failings like that sometimes, it's not really a suitable indicator. Just look at how Reed can build virtually anything imaginable EXCEPT for a machine that cure Thing without any side effects. And just look at the serious issues Mr. Sinister has had cloning Sabretooth in the past.

Just like humans aren't basically kryptonians under a yellow sun.

And its fiction, aliens having children with humans doesn't means they are similar to humans.

Every now and the Supes gets injured and they bring up how different kryptonian and human physiology are.

Even so I doubt AM wouldnt be able to absorb.
