1. Wasn't that posted for aotc? Mace fully mastered vapaad only at the end of shatterpoint. There's also mace's inner darkness growing with the war to the point kenobi noticed he wasn't acting jedi like in rots

The SaVC notes Jedi Dooku has only been eclipsed by Yoda and Mace. Which incarnation of Yoda and Mace is really up to subjective interpretation. I imagine it'd be prime Windu.

2. Hmm, post? Does it refer to power as well?

"Dooku had been reckoned one of the foremost duellists in the Jedi Order, second only to Master Yoda."

3. I'm referring to gillard calling mace a 8 bordering at 9 or in other words the highest an 8 can be. Given that dooku's an 8 if we go by gillard's system the bes he can be is a 8 bordering 9. So dooku at best=mace saber wise. There's also the matter of mace's physical superiority with could give an edge cinsidering their parity skill wise.

Mace bordering on 9 doesn't mean he can't get rivalled/surpassed by another 8 who's also bordering on 9, which Tyranus may as well be.

And given Dooku himself is incredibly physically formidable and is likely a more powerful Force user, I wouldn't say Mace's superior physicality would be a major deciding factor.

He never said that lol, stop lying.

Gillard said the major difference between 8 and 9 is the Dark Side. I interpret that as being Vaapad Mace, since that's the version of the character who's really digging deeply into the Dark Side.

1. Fair enough

2. Well there you go

3. Nah.(if we go by gillard) Dooku can certainly rival mace but he can't surpass him as that would put him in 9 territory. So dooku at best if we go by gillard(which you could argue you don't have to given the fact file) is = mace.

4. I only see dooku as being a better force user via willigness +lightning, mace using the most offensive form available could well make both a non factor in
their fight as opposed to if mace was say a soresu user who wouldn't stop dooku from making use of the force. Windu's style equips him well vs force attacks and could make any force edge irrelevant. Also for what its worth IIRC the script implies windu knows tutaminis with him attempting it(and failing) vs sidous

5. Even prior to the amp vs sidious mace was digging deep into the darkside looking at the rots novel. Vapaaad is inherently about digging into the darkside. So it doesn't have to be an amped mace. Regardless gillard lowered mace anyway.

BTW, we should probabaly just continue this discussion on one of the threads

Yeah, let's continue on the Bane one since this thread is specifically for quotes and inquiries.

sounds good

Anyone have the quote about Maul being weaker than Dooku and Vader?

It's an author opinion.

His power isn’t on Vader’s level, true, or even on Count Dooku’s level — but that never stops him. He stands alongside the Sith Lords only by sheer force of will.

But it's only a author quote.

Cool. Thanks.

I hate you Nova 😐

Author of SoD?

I think so.

Alright

And said author also said maul would take a majority vs dooku despite maul being neither a dooku level duelist or force user due to his willpower/endurance. If you're going to use that as proof of Vader>dooku, you have to accept maul>dooku

Is there a quote that states that those who are subjected to Nihilus' drain can resist it? I seem to remember something like that.

What? You just said that whoever Nihilus drains can resist it. That makes no sense.

I mean that anybody subjected to the drain, that survives, should be able to resist it. I thought for sure I remembers Kreia saying something to that effect.

She only says that you have to experience the power to use it.

Ah, that must be what I was thinking of. Nevermind then, I just had a brain-fart I guess.

Is there any quote that puts Jaina > Alema?

There's one that that says she's faster.
