Films that did not age well

Matrix trilogy. Yes, that includes the first one so highly praised. While the series did influence action movies with its style for a long time, the not so graceful aging of the effects and everything definitely shows.

Indeed. I watched the original a few months ago with my wife, who'd never seen it, and all she did was laugh at how 90's everything was.
y'all buggin'. They hold up just fine.

Tell you one that still holds up well: Terminator 2. Even Terminator isn't that bad, but 2 still looks great even on the small screen. They really did a great job of implementing quality CGI.

Yeah, it's kind of crazy, but I almost found the T-1000 liquid effect better in T2 than I did in the last film.

Conceptually, I agree, but the movie is very dated aesthetically. And the tight leather, and trench coat ship has long since sailed.

Yep. Everyone in tight leather was cool and hip back then, but now it just looks silly. And don't get me wrong, I still like the movies, but even the idea that our reality is an illusion had been done in plenty of sci-fi's before the Matrix, so I don't see it as an original ground-breaking masterpiece that many see it as... And yeah, a number of the effects of the first film are pretty aged, like the action with Trinity at the beginning and such.

Most of the acting hasn't held up too well with me either, but considering it's Keanu Reeves we're talking about, that's being generous. It seemed like the Oracle's the only one who had any real personality...

I dunno, they're still quite entertaining, but when push comes to shove, I think they're just aged films, and others I know who have rewatched 'em with me tend to agree.

Khazra and I have been liberated by Zion; the rest of you still live in the Matrix!
