This is just the first of many betrayals of his campaign promises. He's not going to do pretty much anything he said he's going to do, aside from maybe replace Obamacare with a worse law. His hardcore supporters won't care, they're trapped within his cult of personality and will excuse pretty much any decision he makes and will bend over and accept any and all hypocrisy from him.
However, there are some who will be legitimately upset by this. You can see some of them in the comments section of Breitbart and other fringe sites who genuinely wanted him to single handedly jail both Clintons, Podesta and everyone else in the circle. They're upset and angry by this.
While his zealots will defend him at any cost, even if they're suffering personal lose from his policies, the media at large and their love of focusing on the "look, new-shiny!" is a problem too. Trump Co already knows how to distract away from their workings that raise an eyebrow with people on both sides, be it some crazy Tweet, some BS deal or dragging out Kenye. Magician's trick, keep the crowd distracted and away from the trick.
Biggest concern, in two-four years (if) and our economy is slumping, people with preexisting conditions can't get insurance and jobs aren't coming back as he promised (automation and corporate greed), America suddenly finds itself with a new big bad villain and all eyes turn to that.

After doing a few days of thinking, I regret making this thread. I apologize, as it was rather pompous of me and inconsiderate to the difficult moral choice millions faced on election day.
Look, I hate Trump, and based on his appointments of Goldman Sachs and Exxon plutocrats, I believe he will be a terrible president. BUT this election was pretty much about who you hated less. Not who you liked. Can we stop attacking Trump or Hillary voters for their choice? I know it's easy to say all Trump voters are racist misogynist deplorables or all Hillary voters are lazy socialists, but the fact of the matter is that both candidates were unmitigated evil with plans to devastate the U.S. economy, and there is no difference between the Trump voters who saw him as the lesser evil and the Hillary voters who saw her as the lesser evil. If voting for an evil candidate makes you a deplorable, then both Hillary and Trump voters are in the same basket.
Note this isn't anybody's fault. It's well known by this point that Trump was a "pied piper" plant by Clinton to secure the election for herself, and that she told the MSM to give him massive amounts of free press coverage to influence voters to elect him in the primaries, so that she could use him as a threat to force the public to vote for her. " A Vote not for me is a vote for Trump" was Hillary's way of saying "Vote for me or I'll kill you". Her plan backfired on election day however, because her extortion threat was not enough to convince voters to betray their morality and conscience. As such, most voters stayed home, hoping other voters would do the immoral deed for them, but too many didn't vote, and she ended up losing, even in Blue states. Again this isn't anyone's fault. Hillary was simply too evil to be elected, and unfortunately we are stuck with her plant, who based on his cronyism to Goldman Sachs and Exxon, is pretty much equivalent. We all had a difficult choice to make, and any criticism of that choice, upon either Hillary or Trump voters, is nothing but sheer hypocrisy.
Also, For left and right wingers complaining about capitalism and socialism, respectively, please stop this useless competition. A purely capitalist or purely socialist country is doomed to fail. There needs to be a mix: capitalist policies to ensure a prosperous free trade economy but socialist policies to ensure human rights protection from labor exploitation. There needs to be cooperation between capitalists and socialists rather than competition, which does nothing but give our species more unnecessary social division.
And lastly, regarding Islam and religion, Religion is both obsolete and absolutely necessary. It's obsolete because science has disproven many religious myths, and progress in humanism has negated many religious dogmas. However, we as a species need religion, a belief in the metaphysical to explain the abstract concepts we experience mentally. Science may allow us to ask HOW, but belief in God is what we need to ask WHY?
And note that by God I do NOT mean Yahweh or Allah. I hate Abrahamic Religions (Judeochristianity/Islam). I believe those, as written in their scriptures, are obsolete. But I believe the concept of God to be ever evolving. Quite simply, it's not that religion itself is obsolete. It's just that we need an updated religion.
Honestly, I think Pope Francis is doing an amazing job of abandoning religious myths and dogmas and transitioning Christianity into a more humanist religion that respects science, spirituality, and human rights, a truly Godly religion.
Sadly the Wahhabi Saudis and theocratic Sharia Iran want to keep their religion as dogmatic as possible, which is why Islam is going through such turmoil right now.
