I find this kind of thing odd. I would imagine that if you have any sort of political conviction that you wouldn't take the money and cheer for Trump if you didn't support him anyway in which case you're doing something you might have wanted to do anyway but were planning or doing something else or nothing at all yet somehow a mere 50 bucks entices you to change your mind and take time out of your day to do this instead.

Extras do exactly that, they go to a given set/location, do usually one or two simple acts, walking, pretend conversations, cheering etc. and get paid a small flat rate for the day. Though I think $50.00 is rather low for a day's worth of extra-work.
Wonder if he's going to do this for his inauguration, to boost numbers due to his impossibly fragile ego.

Like I said, I do feel paying people to show up at events or to go hassle people at opponents rallies is indeed something a child would do.
