X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Haters were attacking it from all sides before FOX even was done with filming it, iirc. Lol.

Then the merge happened.

I liked it.

You will hate it, though. And here's why:

Spoiler:
Cyclops has huge cock-sucking lips --- you can see that in every scene --- I'm not even kidding. I'm 100% serious this time.

You deserved every second of it. THIS is what you get for complaining about James Marsden's looks and performance.

Get those razors ready, Pr. You will be cutting yourself a lot.

More than usual, I mean.

😂 wtf.

If it was a good enough movie, the hating wouldn't matter, I imagine.

He's like Aletta Ocean of the X-Men. Only sucks more.

Now that I think of it, it makes perfect sense why Singer hired the guy.

FOX hasn't really changed their formula much since 2000. That's the problem.

It's not any different from the previous films.

Spoiler:
X-Men Apocalypse gets retconned lmao

nealy $100 plus million will be lost from this dogpoo turd.

A loss that Fox will dump on Disney...HAHAHAHAHA!

So true New Cyclops makes you want to punch him in the face everytime he pops up on the screen.

Also who is more emotionless Phoenix or Captain Marvel?

The movie doesn't deserve the panning it's getting, but I get the sentiment that the franchise needs to just die/go fully into Disney's hands at this point. Nothing in the movie felt significant. It's basically just a monster of the week x-men film.

They're reporting over here that the movie is bombing hard. I mean, as much as I'm sure the movie will suck, it's still not nice for all that hard work to lead to such little return.

The ironic thing is that you get about the same movie quality that you get from the box office success that was Endgame.

Movies just live and die off branding.

The formula is one thing, but when you have large gaps in quality between movies in the same series, something is obviously wrong. I mean, DOFP might have its issues, but it's still far better than Apocalypse imo.

Somehow I doubt that lol

I thought Endgame was overrated as Hell but it was ok.

This however was straight up bad.

I mean doesnt really matter. Its not like there was going to be a sequel anyway. Its the end of this series, no matter the box office returns.

Yeah agreed.

Just remembered something.

What about Deadpool? Any news?

Deadpool will carry on outside of the MCU under the Fox label. Most probably with Reynolds and will still be R rated.

👆

Pr will get adamantium hard during his scenes... and he will hate himself for it.

"Those lips... those magnificent, fat lips... this is the best Scott Summers so far... oooooohhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!"

Brie has no equal.

Also, apparently that's FOX's idea of Phoenix... as Famke wasn't better in The Last Stand. Basically just standing there like some liche queen.

Yeah, DOFP was better. No doubt.

Less cringey. But it also had a huge advantage of having both the old and the new cast.

We had 20 years (including New Mutants that will hit the screens next year) for accepting how FOX does their own thing with the X-Men.

Phil's approach is probably the best. He just digs those McAvoy's and Fassbender's scenes and masturbates to them.

PS. *spoiler warning*

Spoiler:
Selene... almost as bad as TLS Betsy
.

Well, he does have plenty of material to use. I mean, almost every one of those ****ing movies retreads the same stuff.

Look on the bright side. It's finally over.

Feige is not planning doing any of the X-films any time soon, though...

I've enjoyed it.

It's nice and short. Fassbender is awesome.

Same.

I think James Marsden had the looks. Hes also a top actor. The problem was they literally gave him nothing to do after X1. And even X1 under-utilised him!

prolly 2022 for mcu x-men

Finally gave this a shot after the mixed audience reception, and it was just that to me, a mixed bag. It definitely had the spirit of the X-Men, especially with the fight scenes, but the problem was how the plot didn't really feel like it was going anywhere for me, with the introduction of the D'Bari who were just uninteresting. All the main mutants got their just due at least, from Magneto kinda getting another redemption arc I guess, to even Cyclops and Nightcrawler getting their unique moments, the latter of whom I liked seeing all killy stabby, but overall I liked Apocalypse as a movie better tbh which at least felt like it was going somewhere, even if it wasn't as good as its predecessors.

And yeah, as an "ending" to this franchise, I didn't really feel closure like I did with Logan, so kinda feel for people who were disappointed about Logan not being the very last X-Men property before rebooting, not that I'm against Dark Phoenix having existed when it did, but it was just... meh. The continuity errors I still couldn't shake off either when I saw this, even if it was expected.

The MCU Bit is funny.
