X-Men: Dark Phoenix

What I do find interesting is that the gender politics seemed to stay out of most of these movies. Then with the previous movie some people got butthurt over posters showing Apocalypse choking Mystique. Now we have this woke joke in the next movie.

Oh and using the logic those crying over the Apoc poster used...is Jean killing Mystique internalized misogyny?

Kinda forgot about the Apocalypse chocking Mystique/poster controversy. It's no coincidence now that a woke line/joke snuck its way into the next and final film.

Agree though that the she-team shot in End Game was worse, especially after just losing Black Widow and thinking "Hey, she could've been in there"... And ew, phuck that producer who said X-Men's name should be rebranded.

Wait I just realized they didn't even address the fact Quicksilver is Magnetos kid lol. Lame.

Yeah, we discussed that already.

X-Men Apocalypse should've had Quicksilver enlightening Mags on that... instead of Mags helping them fight Apoc just because he liked Mystique 😂

Magneto: I wanna kill Jean cuz I liked Mystique

Magneto 15 minutes later: I wanna save Jean cuz I liked Mystique

And since he can't read minds it means he legit had to be stalking Charles to find him at the end.

Much better than I expected.

Rewatching Deadpool 2, and Wade was constantly making an issue out of it. Of course that was frigging hilarious. But point is Dark Phoenix definitely did not start this, and im not gonna get upset over 1 Line from a pissed off Mystique, that was never mentioned again. Except from some shitface exec.

👆

Quan agreeing with us officially makes us KMC Elite... Darth Thor 😛

Love him or hate him, it's been settled. We're the ones to trust when it comes to comic book films.

Seriously, this film has been criminally underrated.

Yep we are 👆

And my reviews for FFH, DP and Venom were before anyone on KMC had even seen them. So I dont pander to anyone.

I ranked this mid tier out of the Fox films, so not like I was shitting on it but eh, there's other (if not better) films to be upset at being underrated or failing... Like Han Solo for me. This was going to be the last FoX-Men regardless, but Solo failing effectively put Star Wars in spinoff hell, and it was actually a decent movie, but toxic SW fans wouldn't give it a chance.

^ Well Nobody gave this a chance either. As in only a tiny portion of the fans from the previous films.

Also its not the last of the Fox films. That will be New Mutants.

Also if Deadpool carries on with Reynolds then technically the Fox films are not ending.

"Logan" is the proper finale to the "X-Men" film series. "X-Men: Dark Phoenix"... is so disappointing that it doesn't deserve that honor.

What honour? The Fox X-Men films have sucked for the most part.

And I doubt youve even seen this one.

2 decades of films that have grossed billions and have fans worldwide? Yeah that’s no legacy 😂
Thor clearly needs zany quips and Baby groot dancing in his Marvel films

^ You sound Butt Hurt as per usual. Not even one of the Fox X-Men films has ever grossed a billion. Which is kind of laughable given how X-Men is the biggest name is Marvel after Spider-Man, and theyve been at it for 20years.

The first 3 were an abomination to the comics. Feige is a legend who starts drafting every film with a stack of comics. Singer wouldnt even allow the actors of the films to read any of the comics.

Also where were all these worldwide fans to say farewell to this franchise with Dark Phoenix? No where to be seen. Clearly audiences would prefer to go see Baby Groot.

Oh and btw First Class is my top superhero film of all time. But Im simply objective about these things.

Yeah, but it's not likely to be that connected with the rest of the films. It's gonna be its own thing.

Like Deadpool then.

Maybe.

Or maybe less so. Wade's whole shtick is comic relief and mocking the "serious" part of the franchise.

New Mutants aren't that.

Even with all that's happened, I'm legit curious about New Mutants. I'm really interested in going and seeing it.

I dunno, man.

Was supposed to be a horror story at first.

Then they got forced in include some comedy elements, if I recall right.

It may suck.
