Jeez dude its not that bad.

I mean you say through Apocalypse and Last Stand right? No idea why this one is so difficult to get through. It gets slow for maybe about 20minutes tops.

I didn't finish Apocalypse in one sitting either lol. I did for Last Stand, but only because I had stupidly paid to see the movie and was too stubborn to leave. Also at the time I didn't think there would be anymore X-Men movies so I wanted to see how it ended.

It’s a great movie.

Fair enough.

To be far I didn't make it past the 20 minute mark. I think I'll try watching a bit more.

Did they make Xavier unlikable on purpose?

He pretty much got Mystique killed. F*ck it the movie has been out long enough I'm not using spoilers.

Telling them not to leave and go save the one final guy in the spaceship was a dick move as well.

Yep it was on purpose. He was trying too hard to get humans to like them. Even started with him pressuring Hank about taking the Blackbird into space.

I haven't even seen the movie but that sounds pissing ridiculous.

It's nothing X-Men haven't done in the comics.

If anything, it was very late for Fox-Men to try and act super-heroic.

I meant Beast complaining about them being superheroes. That's their ****ing job, like.

Watch the film, if you're gonna comment.

And no, that's not their job --- it's FOX, not 616 --- Xavier wants to win the public that way. Team doesn't feel it's right, as it means they keep getting put in a huge risk while Charles is comfy in his wheelchair.

Hank was simply honest about Blackbird not being meant for space travel.

It still sounds shit, but okay.

It's not like the government sends them a check every week in exchange for their services when needed.

And afterwards the only compensation they receive is "the president says thanks".

I bet jet fuel is expensive.

But when it's Whedon and his Astonishing, you jizz everywhere.

Same thing happening, only more important... as there are no other metahumans than mutants... and it's the first time public sees them as their saviours and not homicidal successors.

Superheroes don't generally ask for cheques. Plus, Xavier is loaded.

Really starting to feel like you got the wrong idea about what I said (if that's my fault, okay). The X-Men are supposed to be heroes and role-models. They're not supposed to care whether the people they're saving have the x-gene or not.

Beast whining about it, even after DOFP, seems silly to me, but like you said, I haven't seen the film.

That's not what Fox-Men want to be, though. They just want to live their lives and be left the f*ck alone. Xavier wants to blow POTUS every chance he gets, hoping it'll save them from mutant genocide ("one bad day can ruin everything"😉.

Beast doesn't whine, he simply answers the damn question. Fox Blackbird was not built for space travel. It still does the job, but only because Raven agrees to lead them one more time and ignores Hank's nerd talk.

In later scenes, Hank is mourning Raven and rightfully blaming Xavier for brainwashing Jean into his superheroine puppet. Charles is not innocent in comics, either - he did so with Wolverine, for example.

Edit- Spoilers* whatever, nobody wants to watch this anyway:

No you misunderstood the Beast thing.

Charles had to pressure him because Beast wasnt sure the Blackbird could safely make it to space.

Oh, all right. I think I get it now.

Maybe Beast should stop being so useless and build a better plane, then.

They don't have Shi'ar tech there and never had to travel in space before, lol.

You defending Beast? The world really has gone mad...

Not a big fan of the character - especially his FC incarnation - but he's not the one you should be going after.

Raven was doing 99% of the complaining. Which got her killed so early in the film 😂
