I don't really find that odd, no. I imagine the president gets many unverified reports from various people, about rumors that are out there and what not, they just usually don't get leaked and we just usually don't hear about them.

So why was John McCain even involved? Like, at all?

Pure, unfiltered news can only be found in "shock sites".

That's what they want you to believe, to make profit!!

Perhaps he thought there was some credence to something in the 30+ page document that he thought intelligence officials should know about.

This thread should be titled "Useful Idiots: How the Gullible Believe Fringe Media Over Actual News."

The lying is bad, but CNN did a literal expose on who you would need to kill in order for the President to be a Democrat. That is irresponsible to the Nth degree.

So again, you feel that him being involved equates to going through the proper channels?

Lets see, Surtur.

1) The Sinatra comment was based on a comment Nancy said about "the end is near" in regards to her father's song and Trump, CNN went with that. Nancy later said she was just making a joke and CNN shouldn't have read more into it.

2) An aerial view is superior to a ground level view in telling how big a crowd is.

So it seem you went on to prove Adam's comment correct:

So CNN didn't investigate and thus lied?

The second point you made is so dumb it isn't worth arguing.

They took Sinatra's comment at face value and it failed on them. That's not the same as lying.

Being dismissive when you can't properly retort. How do you think that's working out for you? But no surprise you'd be the type to believe the "the biggest crowd ever" lie.

Isn't it rather lazy reporting to just assume you know what someone meant?

It's so good that we have "alternative facts" now. I hated those dull, musty regular old facts. They were stupid things.

Alt-Facts for the Alt-Right, rather fitting.

Lol, do you see how they try to spin it when it's CNN or something? They bring out every excuse in the book lol. I love how they all suddenly become so understanding. It's like watching someone shapeshift from one form into another.

Didn't say that. Was answering your previous question. I don't know what the "proper channels" are. And it doesn't really matter. The press can report on things even if they don't go through proper channels.

LOL I like the new thread title. 🙄

Still, I think mine was much more on cue.

Don't worry, it just shows some epic butthurt lol. So all in all..hilarious.

I hope whoever did it has some cream, because that much hurt requires medical aid.

This is what hayseeds like Surtur and Polanski are unable to understand. Fake news would be Breitbart outright fabricating a story for no other reason than to spread fear and hate. Or World Weekly News' stories on Batboy.

Or was it fabricated?

Looking at this:

https://www.thelocal.de/20170105/german-media-blasts-misleading-breitbart-reports-of-violence-on-new-years

And then this:

http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/01/08/fake-news-fake-news-media-sow-division-with-dishonest-attack-on-breitbarts-allahu-akbar-church-fire-story/

So there was 1,000 people there, the chants happened, and the fire happened. You could still charge them with a lot over this, but not fabricating a story based on nothing from the ground up (Like claiming you're under attack at ground zero, while you're sipping coffee and eating donuts, or writing a story about a person who doesn't even exist, that kind of thing.)

I don't know, if rushing out what seems to be a sensationalistic story based on the facts at the time is fake news then everybody does fake news, because this kind of half baked shoddy reporting happens everywhere, even at CNN.
