This looks really lame....ermm

I don't get why people are shitting on this teaser.

I mean, it's about a teenager who can turn into a god and the struggle to become a true hero.

The tone is f*cking perfect, if you ask me. It's almost like Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The DCEU needs more of this.

I loved it, personally. I think they nailed the tone too. I mean, it's Shazam. This is how he's supposed to be.

His body looks disproportionate to his legs and his man-child shtick is going to get old really fast

But that's the entire point of the character development. Billy is a teenager who can turn into a super powered god, but retains his childlike persona.

DC did great with both of their trailers today and WB as a whole killed it.

Trailer started off good until Shazam showed up. This looks cheesy and terrible.

This is basically Geoff's (New 52) SHAZAM. It looks spot on.

Okay, this is along the lines of what I wanted. Now that DC & Warners is moving away from the influence of Zack("Joke? What's a joke? Can I slow-mo it?"😉 Snyder, this has the Spider Man meets Superman vibe Shazam should have. I just hope the comedy is cool and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, like in Justice League.

Curious if the setting is going to be in Philadelphia(it was shot in Toronto but one establishing shot looks like Philly) or Fawcett City.

Both Aquaman and SHAZAM were the breakouts, especially SHAZAM, since it drew more social media than even Godzilla or Fantastic Beasts. I can see SHAZAM breaking out, box office wise. The families will come out with this one.

2. Shazam 91,700 tweets

3. Fantastic Beasts 77,700 tweets

4. Godzilla 36,800 tweets

This is true but...I don't know if this will make sense, but it looks like how DC might do Shazam if they decided to have him guest star on a 2 part episode of "The Flash" on the CW.

I agree but only part I dont like is Billy is way too old. In fact he DOESNT act like a kid, so not sure why Shazam/Cpt.Marvel does.

Shazam might work but will be a hard sell because no one knows him and the DC brand isnt Marvel.

But looks like theyve not gone crazy with the budget. So they are learning.
