Points for Vader! There were still both attacking Luke at the same time which means his mental defenses were split, and again, manipulating someone is a good deal better than just getting info from them.

Lava is hotter than reentry heat, yes. I'd argue blaster bolts are given they can melt right through steel. And yes, he did break free from Vader's grip.

Kyp's raw power was stated many times to share parity with Luke Skywalker own, as shown by the fact he replicated a feat that exhausted Luke to the point he collapsed. Vader isn't more powerful than Kyp, period.
