From her husband at least: "As we look at many communities in our country, the church has been displaced by the public school as the center for activity…t is certainly our hope that more and more churches will get more and more active and engaged in education."

I don't like the Christian aspect either. I know people will say she knows nothing about public schools, but as someone who has somewhat worked in more than one public school in Chicago(spent time helping out family members who do legit work in these places) I have not only seen the conditions, but heard stories about the quality of education or lack thereof.
We are in desperate need of change and I realize she could make things worse, but I just know whatever we were doing in the past few decades hasn't been working at all and things have just gotten steadily worse. At this point I think we can afford to take a chance on this person.
It hasn't been working because they've been throwing money at charter schools instead of public schools for decades. Charter schools which rarely work out. Which is exactly what Devos wants to accelerate. She isn't a change, she's actually going to do exactly what Obama's picks were doing except worse and with added christian bullshit thrown in.

I was rather specific on what I was talking about: "direct evidence" or a quote that says if "she did say this." You did not provide either.
Campaigning for religious schools is fine. Charter schools and private schools can and should be religious IF that's what the creators/administrators of those schools want. Public schools should not be.
So before you make fun of me for my googling ineptitude, let me point out that you have the same problem as me: you are unable to turn up what I'm looking for, as well.
Do you have a direct quote or an official statement (something released by her or Trump's administration) that supports the idea that she's going to try to force Christian Teachings into public schools? I cannot find anything and I honestly looked for it. I am ready to bring out my pitchfork because I strongly believe in the separation of church and state.
