Probably because of a certain Grandmaster.

Do you even know what the definition of "soloed" is? Multiple people can't solo something.

And Plagueis wasn't "almost" beaten by them; he was slaughtering them like swine in a horrendous condition. Nice attempt at lowballing, though.

Yes he is. His Force Lightning Storm can cover the entire battlefield of Ruusan or at least most of it. Any Jedi who comes into contact with his lightning will be annihilated into nothingness instantly. The Bane era Jedi were also canonically obliterated by the Brotherhood's Lightning Storm ritual, which is not out of Plagueis' reach to replicate on his own. Not when considering the Lightning feat he has that I just mentioned, and his scaling from Vitiate, whose powers have caused devastation on a planetary scale.

Plagueis has no overly impressive lightning feats and using the showings of an entire group of Sith to justify Plagueis doing the same is flawed logic, but not really surprising given the source.

And there is no proof, neither is it logical to assume, his wide-arcing lightning would keep the same intensity as it would in concentrated burst.

A. fair
B. I was kidding bruh

Plagueis casually melted someone's insides with Lightning in 67 BBY and spread Lightning over a landscape in 54 BBY. Considering that both take place decades before his prime, how are they not overly impressive?

For his power level they really aren't. Specifically when factoring in the task Az is claiming it can achieve.

And how exactly is plagueis doing this ritual in open combat vs thousands of jedi?

The Sith's attack turned most things to ash, but most notably, the stumps of the trees were only charred at best. Far lesser Sith to Plagueis can achieve better with their lightning (in singular, concentrated bursts), so Plagueis should obviously, too, and his range is simply insane. He doesn't even need to exert as much power as to equal the ritual, since lesser amounts would still kill the Jedi.

True, but Plagueis doesn't have to cover the entire field at once; I merely mentioned that he is capable of it. Besides, even a fraction of Plagueis' lightning would instantly kill Jedi, as I already said. He can spread it quite wide without needing to worry about it becoming too weak.

On a sidenote, Plagueis can also cleave his way through their ranks with his sabers. With his speed, they wouldn't know what hit them. He is also immune to all forms of attack the Jedi can muster (lightsabers included), and instantly regenerate from any injury, so long as its not lethal.

With all this in mind, I don't see how the Jedi are winning.
