The Omni King. Zen-Oh.

Aside from the above, not seeing any indicators of this "massive gap" most here have claimed.

Thoughts on Goku's newfound power,
Super Saiyan Blue, or that wierd red aura thing from the new opening? Not much to say on the latter, but as for SSJB: looks cool, but I don't like the name. For something that's even stronger than "God", "Blue" just sounds underwhelming. As obnoxious as it is to say, I think "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan" would've been a better name.
I also don't like that the follow up to a red-haired form is a blue-haired one. They should have made SSJB a red-haired form also, except this time with the Super Saiyan hair. Or better yet, SSJG should've been blue-haired from the beginning. I mean, wasn't SSJB advertised as God combined with Super Saiyan power? I don't understand why the hair should change color.
Beerus, Whis, Zeno, etc? 🙂
Interesting characters, all, with nuances to them. Better written than most Dragonball villains up to this point, not some one-dimensional idiots purely out for destruction and/or power for no real reason, which I like.

Not sure why it's always assumed DE Sidious wins but his every other iteration fails. Aside from an unquantifiable power gap, there's very little separating him from his RotJ self as a combatant. It's the same thing with RotS and EoTPM, except they don't have Force Storms, but other than that, most of their combat abilities are the same and there only exists an unquantifiable power gap between them.

I was referring to SSJB, yeah. I agree that Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is a much grander name, but I think Super Saiyan Blue fits is much easier for the fans. Furthermore, SSJB has been underwhelming in general, given how often it's used.
The reason SSJB is blue is because it's a much more controlled form. It's mastered by learning how to control your ki without it leaking out of your body. Much more stable/"calm," so to speak.
I do think Beerus is an excellent character, as is Whis. I don't like how the Omni King is essentially more evil/destructive than any villain in Dragon Ball History, though. Moreso than the Gods of Destruction themselves. 😂

In any case, I don't think there is a MASSIVE gap, but given how much Luke has grown in power between ROTJ and DE, the fact that Palpatine talks about his own growth after Luke's means that his own growth is at least significant enough, if not directly comparable enough to get a mention there. And didn't he master the storms much better after ROTJ? His knowledge and mastery increased in seclusion+the aforementioned growth in power, added with the fact that he is using young bodies instead of his deformed self add up to something pretty big imo. The totality of his growth in power may not be quantifiable, but there are specific advantages that DE Sidious wields in comparison to ROTJ Sidious. So, in my first post to you, I just meant that he will need those advantages in order to clear this gauntlet
I would be, except I haven't found that much evidence for the gaps between EoTPM and RotS, and RotS and RotJ. I am an advocate of there being a humongous gap between BoTPM and EoTPM, though.
You made fair points, and then there's Luke's own musings about Palpatine's increased power, which do paint a nice picture of him growing quite a bit. But as we have both said, the gap is ultimately unquantifiable aside from being somewhat significant, and we are back at square one.
As for Force Storms, Palpatine doesn't need to summon fleet or planet busters in single combat, so him not having attained perfect control of those is kind of irrelevant. Miniature Storms will do just fine.
But I guess there's Teleportation, which RotJ Sidious used to have but it was retconned. Not that he needs to teleport anyway, since he's basically immortal and invulnerable anyway 🙂

I don't have a problem with it being used often (every transfirmation has, since their debut), but I'd honestly have preferred if they had gone all-out with this God Ki idea and made every blue-haired versions of every transformation they have (from SSJ to SSJ3). I don't like how they switch between the yellow-haired and blue-haired forms.
The reason SSJB is blue is because it's a much more controlled form. It's mastered by learning how to control your ki without it leaking out of your body. Much more stable/"calm," so to speak.
Yes, I understand that, but FPSSJ was yellow, even though it was a mastered version of SSJ, which was also yellow. Similarly, SSJB is a mastered version of SSJG, but the hair color changes. There's no consistency.
And that brings up another gripe I have with SSJB: If it's supposed to be a form attained by and based on masterful Ki control, why does it use so much stamina? Apparently Vegeta wasn't able to harness even one tenth of his power against Hit simply because he had transformed powered down twice in a row. That makes no sense.
And if SSJG is supposedly leaks Ki out if your body, how did Goku absorb and internalize it into his base form by using it only once and to quote Beerus, "merely feeling that level of power"? Again, makes no sense, and makes me wonder if Toriyama really thought any of this through.

I actually like the Omni-King for the very reason you dislike him. He is, by all intents and purposes, a toddler. If I existed in a world where the ruler would be an all-powerful child who treats the lives and existence of all things as playthings, I would not want to live in that world. He's not like Frieza or Cell, who are cruel and malicious for the sake of being cruel and malicious. Zeno doesn't understand what morality even is, and only desires his own amusement via childish games and such. He has the mentality of a baby, yet has the largest kill count in all of Dragonball and slaughters entire multiverses for no reason, and once because one guy was, to quote him, "annoying". And the icing on the cake is that he is the most powerful guy around. No one is near him, and he can just one-shot the verse with nothing to stop him if he so chose.
That is what makes him, in my opinion, the most horrifying villain up to date.
