So they gave him some of Carnage's abililties?...unless he does that stuff in the Ultimate Marvel comics.

Shapeshifting isnt exclusive to Carnage even Agent Venom can do that..

Also Riot was described as a more powerful symbiote who is bigger and has better developed powers by this. I think they meant he can do more shapeshifting maybe?
