Oh? Well, last I checked, when Mace went up against Maul with the help of an another Jedi, he didn't exactly blitz him. In fact, it lasted more than a few seconds. Contrasted with Kenobi's performance against a more skilled and powerful Maul, I don't see how Windu is the better swordsman.

You can't have your cake and eat it. Kenobi's always going to be in a Dooku/Mace tier from now onwards.
As has been established kenobi's short duel with maul wasn't because he outclass. That being said kenobi is implied to be better than he was at least from sod as a duelist so he definitely has a shot at this saber wise. Force wise he well could take this given that he's deepened his connection to the force for 15 years.
Just like with dooku, this can go either way.

That's because Maul is trash. Maul got similarly humiliated by Kanan, does that now mean Kanan is Dooku/Mace tier? Of course not that's absurd.

It's almost as bad if Rebels has just been plain bad to the character.
Anyway Kanan's been said to have had a Force amp. Ergo why he performed better than Ahsoka against Maul.
But yeah I agree Kanan's victory puts a big dent over Kenobi's victory. However had this fight gone better for Maul then the Kanan thing would have been written off by most people as a One-off.
Maul was unstable, half-mad paranoiac. He was broken by Sidious two times, and became much less then he once was.
Kenobi was calm and ready for Maul. He tricked him. That doesn't prove anything, especially not, that Kenobi is ">" or "=" Mace. Ahsoka, Maul's equal or marginally superior, couldn't defeat Vader. If Ben can stomp people of Maul's and Ahsoka's caliber, he should beat Vader comfortably. But he can't.
The fact is, that OM Maul is very unstable character, and that led him to his death.
