When Trump talked about throwing Clinton in jail, they where with him because "Yeah she needs to be locked up!" when Trump tried having the travel ban implemented "Damm right we need to stop those bloody terrorists!" They perceive, and that is the articles main point, a violent solution to a problem (Boots on the ground against ISIS for instance) as not a bad outcome at all, and is actually more willing to accept a dictatorship with a perceived strong leader to halt those problems.
