really? cool. it would be neat to make the list public. i wonder if something like a demerit system could be instituted, you know? offenses are tallied, you hit a limit and whammo, banned. everyone could see what's happening, no gray scale. you troll, 5 pts. you open non-vs threads, 5 pts. i;m just thinking out loud here. be...kinda fun. maybe (MAYBE???) help keep some posters in line? just seems to me that there has been a lot of idiocy in, say, the last year? more than i can ever remember in my time, and it would be cool if we could maybe try making the place, i dunno, better? if that's possible given the resources.to be clear, i am in no way dissing the job you and bada are doing. i think you're both enormously fair--and WAYYYY the &^%$ more patient than i could ever be as a mod. i just used to really enjoy visiting this place, but of late? not quite so much. i was just thinking out loud of some ways that we all could maybe help clean it up some?

i thought of that. like i said, it was only intended as the most half-hearted of suggestions (though it would be cool to see it...). i guess bada is right--using reports and ignore are the best way. it's just beyond me why more people refuse to use ignore and instead engage with what it clearly bait material or trollish behaviour. honestly, it is every bit as bad being forced to see posts from people engaging trolls, as it is seeing troll posts. in fact, it may even be worse....
anyway, i guess you're forced to take the good with the bad when you choose to login.
