They've worked together, which is why they picked him up.
"Cool news announcing Spanish thriller filmmaker, Jaume Collet-Serra as my director for DC’s BLACK ADAM," Johnson said on Instagram. "Jaume and I have worked together for the last two years making, DISNEY’S JUNGLE CRUISE - and I’ve been very impressed with his passion, work ethic, style, vision, tone and quality. He’s hungry to break new ground with BLACK ADAM and give the fans something very cool and special. I raise a double tequila welcoming Jaume and can’t wait to bring to life the world’s anti-hero in black."

To me, there's a difference between reasons and excuses. I won't even pretend that If I was in Adam's position I wouldn't have done the same thing, but I honestly don't think that he can do what he did and be considered an anti-hero in general, even if his behaviour shifts as such. There are plenty of villains who don't have villainous motives who are still considered villains, after all.
I genuinely don't remember if I did. I might have. Though I admit, I don't read a lot of Namor or Panther, so there's a chance it wasn't me.
When the leaders of our governments are killing innocents all the time in military operations and poor-intel stings, yeah, it's hard to tell where the villains and heroes really are.
