On DC Earth, Gotham City is located in New Jersey.

Midvale and Metropolis are in Delaware.

In the DC comics, Keystone City is located in Kansas, across the Missouri River from Central City, Missouri.

Not sure how little known this is: Kirby came up with the silver Surfer idea because 1) surfing songs, via the Beach Boys, were popular at the time; and 2) he was tired of drawing spaceships.

I'd heard the song part, not the spaceship part.

Marvel ultimately DID present that as Storm's backstory, but it would take a little while. The first published meeting of these two took place in a very different setting than the streets of Cairo, Egypt:

His fist isn't just a megaton punch. He's used it to crush a handgun to pieces. He could probably do the same to Spidey's fist.

He has several examples of defeating Luke Cage level characters and up without an Iron Fist.
